Who will be responsible for the payments, me or my business?

Both you and your business are responsible for the loan.

When will my payments start?

Your Affirm payment schedule will be finalized once all of your items have shipped (or after 120 days, whichever comes first). When you check out, Affirm will give you an estimate of when your first payment will be due. Sometimes, you may be required to make a down payment at checkout.

How do I make my payments?

After the last item in your order has shipped, you’ll get a confirmation email from Affirm with your payment schedule. You can then make or schedule payments at affirm.com or in the Affirm app for iOS or Android. Affirm will send you email and text reminders before payments are due, or you can turn on the AutoPay option.

Can I pay off my purchase early?

Yes! There’s no penalty for paying early.

Can I return an item I bought with Affirm?

Yes, simply initiate the return process with Amazon.

Does checking my eligibility affect my credit score?

No, your credit score won’t be affected when you create an Affirm account or check your eligibility. If you decide to buy with monthly payments through Affirm, your payments may be reported to credit bureaus. You can find more information in Affirm’s Help Center.

Can I use Affirm for a purchase outside the US?

Right now, if you’re shipping your Amazon purchase outside the US, you won’t be able to use Affirm to pay for your purchase.

What purchases can I make with Affirm?

You can use Affirm to pay over time for a variety of products like furniture, office supplies, electronics, and more. Affirm is not eligible for certain purchases, such as Whole Foods Market or Amazon Fresh orders, digital purchases like movies or Kindle books, gift cards, and carts under $100. Affirm will not be available on Amazon checkout for purchases that aren’t eligible.

Do I need a mobile number to use Affirm?

Yes, you’ll need a mobile phone number from the U.S. or U.S. territories. This helps Affirm verify it’s really you who is creating your account and signing in.

What if I've been declined by Affirm in the past?

When you apply to pay over time, Affirm takes into account a number of factors, which can change, depending on when you apply and where you’re shopping. So you may still be able to pay over time at Amazon using financing provided by Affirm, even if you had an application that wasn’t approved in the past. Checking your eligibility won’t affect your credit score.

Can I customize my payment option?

Affirm offers the payment options you qualify for based on your Amazon purchase and your application. Certain purchases may qualify for multiple payment options. In such cases, you can choose your preferred payment plan at checkout.
